These conditions govern every purchase submitted through rowanoptical.info, managed by Rowan Optical Ltd.. Completing a purchase confirms your acceptance. Review them alongside our Delivery, Returns, and Privacy sections.
1. The seller

2. The goods
Non-prescription ready-made reading spectacles, optical frames, protective eyewear cases, microfibre lens cloths, and optical care accessories designed solely for standard personal reading and close-up visual assistance. Each catalogue page lists frame dimensions, material specifications, lens type, and included accessories. Photographs represent production units; protective cases and boxing may vary in minor packaging details.
3. Ordering and contract
Your order registers once you finish the checkout workflow. We issue an acknowledgement email; the sales agreement activates upon dispatch from our workshop. We reserve the right to cancel orders when material stock is depleted or billing details fail verification, followed by an immediate refund.
4. Prices and payment
All figures appear in GBP and cover applicable VAT. Shipping fees calculate in the order summary before payment submission. Permitted settlement options: Cash on delivery, Bank transfer. If an obvious numerical error occurs in pricing, we correct it prior to dispatch and ask you to reconfirm or cancel the purchase.
5. Delivery
Shipping routes, transit schedules, and freight fees are detailed on our Delivery & Payment page. Responsibility for the item passes to you at physical handover.
6. Product images and colours
Our photographs depict physical production frames. Acetate tone and metal finish on your monitor depend on hardware calibration, software profiles, and ambient lighting. Subtle shade variations do not constitute manufacturing faults and do not qualify for complimentary return shipping or price adjustments.
7. Transfer of risk
The frames remain our legal responsibility until delivered by the courier to you or your designated recipient at the provided address. Liability for loss or damage transfers at that instant. Inspect the parcel upon arrival: record any visible transit damage with the carrier and notify our desk within 48 hours.
8. Returns and warranty
You can return your eyewear within 30 days of arrival in accordance with our Returns page. In accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Rowan Optical warrants that all optical frames and reading lenses conform to their sales description, remain free from manufacturing defects in frame hinges, bridges, and lens mountings, and are of satisfactory quality for a minimum statutory period of six months from receipt.
- Eyewear fitted with bespoke, custom-glazed, or tailored individual prescription lenses manufactured to specific biometric parameters.
- Optical items supplied with anti-fog or specialized lens coatings that have a limited functional durability once the protective seals are broken.
- Eyewear and optical accessories unsealed after delivery where the security or hygiene seals have been detached, breached, or altered.
- Cleaning fluids, lens wipes, or accessory components inseparably combined with other substances or materials post-delivery.
- Customised optical care sets, protective storage cases, or accessories tailored to bespoke customer specifications.
9. Liability
Rowan Optical Ltd. limits its maximum liability for any direct loss or damage arising under or in connection with any purchase to the total purchase price paid for the relevant order or the fixed sum of £100, whichever amount is greater, excluding any liability that cannot be limited by English law. Nothing within these clauses excludes liability that statutory consumer regulations prohibit excluding.
10. Age and use
You must have attained the age of 18 to submit an order. Optical frames and corrective lenses must be handled as indicated in the product documentation; they do not replace formal eye examinations by an optometrist or ophthalmologist.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms and conditions, contracts of sale, and any non-contractual disputes arising from them are governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. If an issue cannot be resolved by direct discussion, it goes before the competent court where the seller is officially registered. This does not alter statutory consumer rights in your home country.
